ABOUT ME

I’m Omid Omidvar, a Los Angeles–based photographer, filmmaker, and creative producer with more than 25 years of experience across portraiture, documentary, editorial, commercial, and cinematic work.

My photography centers on people and the moments that often go unnoticed. Working with natural light, restrained direction, and cinematic composition, I look for subtle gestures, expressions, and the quiet seconds between actions—the moments that reveal more than a pose can.

I was born with cerebral palsy. Growing up, I often watched from the sidelines while others participated. That distance sharpened the way I observe movement, emotion, and human connection. Observation became my first camera long before I owned one.

Film, poetry, and everyday life continue to shape the way I see. I approach each scene looking for a single frame that can suggest a larger story.

My work also reflects a commitment to disability representation, accessibility, and thoughtful collaboration. Whether I’m photographing a person, documenting a community, or developing a visual campaign, my goal remains simple: to make photographs that feel honest, human, and lasting.
