ABOUT ME
I’m Omid Omidvar, a Los Angeles–based photographer, filmmaker, and creative producer with more than 25 years of experience across portraiture, documentary, editorial, commercial, and cinematic work.
My photography focuses on people, character, and the moments that often go unnoticed. I use natural light, restrained direction, and cinematic composition to create images that feel honest rather than overly staged. I’m drawn to subtle gestures, expressions, and the quiet seconds between actions—moments that reveal more than a posed photograph can.
I was born with cerebral palsy. Growing up, I often watched from the sidelines while others participated. Over time, that distance sharpened my ability to study movement, emotion, and human relationships. Observation became my first camera long before I owned one.
Film, poetry, and everyday life continue to shape the way I see. I approach each scene as both a photographer and a storyteller, looking for the single frame that can suggest a larger story.
My work also reflects my commitment to disability representation, accessibility, and meaningful collaboration. Whether I’m photographing an individual, documenting a community, or developing a visual campaign, my goal remains the same: to create work that feels human, respectful, and visually lasting.
